Is Dewy Skin in Your Future?

Who doesn’t want dewy skin? Skin that’s soft, bright, vibrant and plump? Skin that oozes the essence of youth. Skin with elasticity, plenty of collagen and the ability to heal itself seamlessly and whenever necessary. Skin that’s been taken care of, loved and nurtured. Who doesn’t want all that? We all do, and the good news is that it’s within reach. In fact, it’s right in front of you. All you need are the right strategies, use the right products, and a little bit of time. When approached from the right direction, dewy skin is easy. Here’s what you need:

First, you need hydrating ingredients. These are substances that increase the water content of your skin. Think ingredients like botanical Hyaluronic Acid and healing essential oils and rose hydrosol. Some ingredients attract moisture to them and hold it there, like Hyaluronic Acid, others prevent cellular water loss in the first place, like rose and other essential oils. While essential oils can be used in a variety of private label skincare products, Hyaluronic Acid is best used in a serum. Daily application of both of these ingredients can help your skin stay in dewy glory. Our customers love our Hyaluronic and Ceramide Serum. It has been one of our best sellers since 2011.

Another way to help your skin become and stay dewy fresh is to make sure that you are exfoliating regularly. This is because by keeping the outer layer of skin free from dead, dry and flaky buildup, your skin is able to drink in all the other hydrating goodness you apply, including the moisture from the air! The trick here is to keep the exfoliation gentle, not harsh or irritating. Once a week is a good place to start, but pay attention to the feedback your skin gives you, since we are all unique in our individual skincare needs. Also, stick to gentle and effective exfoliators like fruit enzymes and AHA’s, since they get the job done with the most minimal potential for irritation and scratching. Our Radiance Face Polish can be used daily on normal skin. If your skin is sensitive, you can use up to three times per week.

Lastly, and perhaps most obviously, keep your body hydrated. Drink plenty of pure water, eat hydrating and juicy foods, and try to stay away from foods and drinks that dehydrate your body, like too much coffee.

Your skin is the first thing that encounters the world every day. It’s the most immediate expression of you, and the way you take care of it shows. Give your skin the dewy boost it needs with hydrating ingredients, regular and gentle exfoliation, and hydrating foods and drinks. You’ll be glad you did.
